Phase 2
In a second stage, dynamic vibration tests were carried out on the completed first timber storey (post-tensioned timber frame and beech LVL - concrete composite floor) in May / June 2014.
As for the first phase, dynamic shaker and impact tests were carried out (impact hammer and normal hammer). The response of the structure was recorded by a network of 20 accelerometer sensors, which were widely distributed to form a modal grid. With these tests the influence of the floor diaphragm on the structural behaviour of the first storey could be analysed.
